HbA1c水平与视网膜病变和肾脏病变发病强烈相关

TAKE-HOME MESSAGE

In this Swedish observational study of 451 patients with type 1 diabetes, HbA1c was evaluated from diagnosis to determine its association with microvascular complications and to formulate target treatment levels. The follow-up period was 20 to 24 years. Increasing long-term mean HbA1c led to increased incidence and earlier occurrence of proliferative retinopathy and persistent macroalbuminuria.

The authors conclude that long-term weighted mean HbA1c is strongly associated with development of severe diabetes-related complications, and that maintaining HbA1c below 7.6% is a reasonable treatment target to prevent long-term proliferative retinopathy and persistent macroalbuminuria.
