Immediate sequential bilateral cataract surgery (ISBCS) is not for everyone, but there are geographic and demographic areas (Finland and the Spanish Canary Islands, for example) where it is applied routinely, a major attraction being the rapid patient rehabilitation and economy of a 1-stop approach.
